Those who have once owned a German Shepherd will know how devoted and loyal they are to their family. They are energetic and fearless. To be really happy, they need to have meaningful work to do. Many are used in the forces filling guard and other duties. Some become exceptional guide dogs for the blind. Reputable German Shepherd breeders will have had their stud dogs tested for genetic faults. They will also take care that only dogs with stable dispositions are used at stud.
