It has been widely reported in the press that the UK is experiencing a radical increase in the number of diabetes cases. The number of cases of type 2 diabetes has increased by a staggering 50% in the last 5 years. As many as three million adults and children are now diagnosed with the condition and in the last 12 months alone, there have been 117,000 new cases.
